I always put the 16mm f/2.8 in my bag if I’m not taking the 14-35. It’s pretty much invisible in there so why not. I decided to mount it to the R5 last weekend while checking out the new boardwalk at the Orlando Wetlands. It’s great to have this flexibility without the weight when primarily shooting wildlife.

You just about have me sold on the lens. I love how the contrails create a focal point. in the top one.

Thanks. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with the performance of the 16mm at its price-point.

Nice. I've got a Canon RF 16mm F2.8 STM lens on my R6 but hardly ever use it for some reason. Do you use it for anything apart from landscape? Can anyone post some different types of images taken with this lens?

Took this for a 52 Frames weekly photograph.

.. think I'll persevere with it, but I find it more difficult to use than other lenses .. might just need more practice. The first is at the Sydney modern gallery, the next at the underground Tank gallery there, and a busker in St James station.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
