Bought QimageOne a while back thus far like it. A step ubove Epson print layout software bought lifetime licence

Since I am a Windows user, I purchased Qimage Ultimate and I also love it. The print sharpening is excellent and its interpolation capability is also very, very good. I have a few A3+ (13x19 inch) prints on my wall which were slightly cropped images from my R6 Mark II's 20mp sensor and the detail is all there. I also use Print Prism for creating custom iso profiles which is also from the same developer as Qimage. These two have really upped my printing game immensely as well as provided me with a lot of simple fun in printing my images and being very happy with the result.

Ultimate well would be ultimate but im Mac.

Ever so slight tiniest bits of blur barely recognisable by human eye it will sharpen I never go above 6 but ive only done about 20 prints thus far.

Epson P700 got it cheap if time again would have got 8550.

The name of the app is Qimage Ultimate. I can't say if it really is ultimate or not... . I do know that QimageOne and Ultimate have the same capabilities in printing. same print quality. Ultimate only has some extra image editing, database, and file management features which I never use. So for me, your version and my version are equals...so yours is also the ultimate in my opinion.

I have always left my print sharpening at the default of 5. Maybe your version has a different default.

And I love my 8550 and the cheap printing costs from the ink tanks. I understand that the P700 has a bit better print quality, but it comes at a cost in ink and I doubt if my 60 year old glasses wearing eyes could see the difference.

Thanks for posting this. I have the 8550 and just downloaded the trial version for the Mac. So far I like it MUCH better than the Epson software that came with the printer. Pretty sure I’ll be buying the lifetime license…

I have to say that the Qimage Forum is a great place to get help from Mike Chaney, the developer. He usually responds relatively quickly. It isn't anything like this forum in that there isn't really any image sharing etc., just users seeking help with problems or users making feature suggestions.

I can also recommend Print Prism, also from Mike Chaney, for making custom icc profiles using a scanner. I have profiles for my 8550 of paper which I also have paid for custom profiles from two different profiling services and the final print quality is definitely at least as good from Print Prism. I have had a lot of fun using it to narrow down which papers are the best for my 8550 based on the data Print Prism gives to me for LAB % coverage, Dynamic Range etc.
I know...I am a printing nerd too.....and proud of it...
