I am contemplating moving into the Canon full frame system through either the R5 or R5II, and a kit 24-105 f/4 for either. The difference in price is around 1000 Euros. I have seen plenty of comparison analysis, and I would tilt towards the R5II because of the many improvements bar the high ISO/dynamic range, but one thing I am not yet clear on is how annoying the IBIS hiss or hum is on the R5II. The consensus seems to be that its quite noticeable and “worse” than the R5, but would appreciate feedback and if possible an audio recording from those who have the R5II and are noticing it.

Many thanks!

Solution
Having used my R5 ii today for bird photography in a hide the only noise I could hear was a slight hum when using the precapture with it not in use there is no noise apart from the shutter.
I have both an R5 and an R5ii and the only IBIS/IS noise I have noticed is with the EF 100mm 2.8L macro does hum and get warm when stacking.

Go for the R2Mk2, a better bit of kit by far imo. I haven't used it for video yet but if I do I will be using an external microphone. I wouldn't worry about the high ISO performance either, I haven't noticed a difference between the two bodies to be honest.

In a dead silent room, you'll notice a very light white noise when your eye is up to the viewfinder. It'll be nearly impossible to hear outdoors with ambient sounds.
