Currently planning a trip to Tokyo, and I'll be bringing along my R6II. Still haven't decided on the lenses. For recent overseas travel, I brought my R6II with RF 16-28mm f2.8 STM and RF 24-240mm f4-6.3. The reason why I'm having second thoughts about bringing either of those two lenses on this trip is because I''ll be traveling during rainy, monsoon season. These two lenses are not weather sealed.
Here are my other choices:
- Canon EF 17-40mm f4.0L (with EF/RF adapter)
- Canon 70-200mm f2.8L (with EF/RF adapter)
- Canon 85mm f1.8 USM (with EF/RF adapter)
- RF 16mm f2.8 STM
- RF 24mm f1.8 Macro
- RF 28mm f2.8 STM
- RF 35mm f1.8 Macro
- RF 50mm f1.8 STM
While none of my RF lenses are weather sealed, they are compact enough to hide away during rainy days. Not that I'd take them out in the rain, but they would be easier to carry and maybe use if I had an umbrella.
