Please use this thread to discuss pre-orders and delivery status for the Canon EOS R7.

I'm not aware of many of Canon's authorized dealers in the USA or other countries. So please let me know which stores you think should be added to this list. Thanks!

R7 Pre-order Links UK

I have my order in with a local dealer here - it was in before it was formally announced. My understanding is that I'm the first non-CPS person on there, so hopefully I'll get it soon after release.

Ordered my R7 on 2nd June and noticed the Canon UK Store advising shipping end of August, delighted it includes the adaptor (until stock lasts) so I can use my old EF glass. Still treasure my 5D mark iii a classic camera if ever there was one.

I ordered my Canon R7 on 24th May. First day you can do that at Wilkinson here in UK. They told me it will be here between June and July, fingers cross :-)

I’ve been told by HDEW they should be getting delivery towards the end of July. I can wait until then.

Switched my order to the Kit with the 18-150 lens. I was no 50 on the body only queue but 27 on the kit queue and the dealer received 1 body and 2 kits initially. Knowing my previous experience in Post Office and car lanes, I hope I have not screwed up again. I did expect Canon to prioritise the kits for the initial output.

My shop in the US only got bodies.

Was in the local Vistek here in Ottawa. They have got some pre-ordered R7 in (and quickly out apparently). The other shop Henrys's also have some coming in.

Vistek and Henry's are national stores.

My R7 kit arrived this morning and so far i have been working through the menus to set up. It does seem like a lot of camera for the price and i now have another ef to rf adaptor from Canon.

Well this must be why my R7 ordered last month still has not gotten to the store I ordered it from. :ROFLMAO:

Pleased to say I received my R7 + Kit lens with adapter last week from WEX formerly known as Calumet in Glasgow UK. I pre-ordered on 4th June and was told would be around 60th in the queue so might not get a delivery until October. When I collected my camera the sales person said I was the first to receive an R7 from this store, all very confusing. Good luck if you are still waiting.

Just got a confirmation email from the store I ordered from that my R7 camera has shipped. As it's Saturday I think they may have just created the shipping label and it won't actually get on to a truck until Monday but at least I am one step closer.

I hope you will like it as much as I do. It’s such a fun little camera to bring everywhere. I didn’t get any of the kit lenses I just use my RF glass, primarily my 50mm 1.8 STM. Small and light so I like to bring it hiking with me. 😊

Got mine a month ago from Clifton Cameras. I bought it with the kit 18-150 lens as these kits were coming through faster than just the bodies. So far very pleased with the results using just the kit lens. Paired with the RF 100-400 is a great combination for birding. I am getting a bit long in the tooth to drag the R6 and an adapted EF 100-400 around all day. And I can hand hold the lighter kit without rapidly developing the shakes.
This is The Bridge over the River Wye. All trains long gone.

Just ordered the R7 from Camera world in the Uk sorry if not allowed to name the retailer
advised out of stock but expected delivery is mid October
I will update with any further news

My R7 finally arrived after dinner last night, our UPS deliveries are always on the late side. So I had time to unbox it, charge the battery to full power and then do some menu setup. I did the obvious like date, time, switched DST on and then added my copyright stuff and set up the image name structure the way I like (never liked IMG_). Discovered there is a new firmware upgrade so applied that. Took a few random pictures from my desk chair. All was good.

This morning I played a bit more and was disappointed to find out that my Tamron 18-400mm lens that I use all the time on my 7D MkII and my M5 does not focus on the R7 but pulses back and forth. Perhaps I need to do a firmware upgrade for the lens. Hope that is all it takes.

Paid for mine on Tuesday, having ordered in August, but thanks to Royal Mail workers going on strike it won’t be delivered now until next week. It’s a signed for service and I’m away for a few days next week so I just hope they don’t leave it on my doorstep as they have in the past where it can be accessed by passers by.

Very frustrating, but at least you know it’s being dispatched.

Finally arrived. Completely different to the R6. Looking forward to setting it up.
Does anyone know of pocketbook manual similar to the one Nina Bailey does for the R6?
