Hello Canon R users! I'm pretty new to this mirrorless camera and I have a question which I hope someone can easily answer for me. I recently set the shutter delay to 2 seconds as I was using a tripod, but had no cable release with me. Ever since the 2 second delay continues to function whenever I press the shutter although I have not got the camera set to the 2 second delay. I'm sure I'm just not clicking the right buttons in the right sequence to disable it, but darned if I know how! Hope you can help!

Have you checked the user manual for guidance? I have an R5 and the user manual for FW1.8 page 459 describes how to set the timer, so I would presume that is where you can remove the self timer. I tried to copy the info from the manual, but for some reason the Adobe reader would not allow me to.

option one , camera icon in menu screen
then scroll across to drive mode
have various options single shoot high speed continous low speed continous then timers 10 second or 2 and finally far riht is self timer continous.
