I have an R5 and it does it's job well, I grab the R6 MkII more often if there is even a remote possibility of low light. I looked at the benefits of the R5 MkII, the 5000+ focus points is a bonus, but the examples I viewed at higher ISO, there didn't appear to be much improvement over the original.
I picked up an R3 and I'm very pleased with the addition. The ergonomics and extra battery life, better low light capabilities and sticky tracking fit the bill for me. It's a shame that the R1 and R5 MkII have most likely pushed the R3 out of the lineup.
