In keeping with the August Street/Urban competition, I thought I'd add a couple shots from this weekends walk-about with an FD 800mm lens on my R5.

What I have discovered through this adventure is the difficulty is the angle of view is 3° 03' on a full frame. This made it a challenge in finding a composition with an unobstructive view for anything further than 50 feet away! (the minimum focal point is 46ft/14m). Another, is the 10 minutes it takes to setup the gear up.

The lens works! IQ looks good.

I can appreciate the difficulties using an 800 for street photograph. I recall a photographer long ago doing long tele work from his inner city balcony - Otto Litzel maybe? He was able to choose his moments and got some great results.
