from 8192 x 5464 to 1800 x 1200 or 1.72 MB from 49.63 MB that's quite a drop when you pay for the internet. But can any one see the difference?

I doubt anybody who doesn’t have an 8K or higher resolution display can see a difference , at least on a screen. In a big print, maybe.

By my math, a 13x19 print needs (or can display a max of ) 22Mp. An iPad maybe 6Mp. A 4k desktop monitor 8Mp, an 8K 32Mp.

Depending on how you plan to display an image, pixel count allows you leeway to apply sharpening tools and techniques, or allows you to do heavy cropping; e.g. if you shot a hummingbird at 25 yards.
