Well, it's still wicked cold and windy here,so we visited a butterfly garden last weekend. I was surprised they were open so early in the season but it was a welcome surprise. Some images. All were taken at ISO over 1250, some at 6400 I added that information/ DXO Pure Raw has been amazing at handling the noise. I used extension tubes with my 24-240 for all of these images. I can see how distorted it is at the edges because of that.
Some type of Heliconius butterfly. Textured background added because it was ugly back there (ISO 6400)
A Brown Tip Page Butterfly (ISO 6400)
The beautiful Blue Morpho Butterfly, if you look carefully you can just see some of that dazzling blue inside it's wing (ISO 1250)
When Butterflies dream of the sky - a multiple exposure with clouds superimposed on the open back of this Owl Butterfly (ISO 2500)
