A Digital asset management system with AI culling?? Not really a editor as such been hammered with a few ads had a quick glance.

Correct. I tried it maybe six months ago and after playing with it, opted to pass. I think the idea is great, and it’ll probably be fantastic eventually, but I wasn’t getting the results that I expected. So I took a folder of DNGs, ran Aftershoot and ended up with X number of selects. Then manually reviewed for selects and ended up with different numbers….with Aftershoot NOT selecting a bunch I did.

Maybe it hadn’t learned what I like yet? Maybe I set up the culling requirements incorrectly? I don’t know and didn’t wait around to find out. Maybe in a few years…

Since we are Canon owners I always pre-cull using Canon's DPP before importing to my developer. Quick Check - Full Screen mode. DPP has excellent screen scaling algorithms and shows as a finished Jpeg. Images are sharp and contrasty so easy pick out unwanted files. The best part is it is free.

I haven't found much use for DPP other than seeing where the focus point was. EDIT: Oh! And evaluating burst mode captures.

Right now my process is a double cull (once for obvious trash, and a second time for selects to process further).
