I heard about this group from a FB group and am looking forward to being a part of this community. I bought my first entry level Canon DSLR about three years ago and enjoyed it so much I decided to upgrade to an R7 at the end of last year. I love close up and macro photography and got a 100mm macro lens. Finding the new camera a steep learning curve but looking forward to exploring and experimenting with it and the lens. I also bought a 50mm prime lens.

Part of it is you getting used to the camera and part of it is the camera getting used to you - dialing in your setup. (Which may or may not be the same as someone else’s setup).

Yes, it's a bit like going from my old car with very few driver assist features to my new car with cameras, sensors, GPS etc, haha. Takes a bit of getting used to but really enjoying the experience.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
