If my experience is any indication, in a couple of days you can post a picture of where raccoons have been making omelets...

Absolutely correct - in fact we have a few remnants of raccoon damage and theft already. Usually the people around put coverings over the nests, but raccoons are smart. The white things in the attached photo are the remains of the skins of the eggs!!

Yup, saw four or five decimated nests while walking the dog along the Erie Canal this morning.

Skunks, mink and foxes also love them some turtle eggs. Something like only 1% survive to adulthood.
