Hi everyone. My name is Ian Middleton. I shoot with a Canon R5 currently. Made the move over to mirrorless finally a few years and haven't looked back since. I must admit that for a long time I was concerned about the quality of the EVF, as I use the viewfinder more than anything. But I have been super impressed with quality of the R5's one. What is everyone else's opinion?

Hi Ian and welcome. Still on my first mirrorless camera - the R but no regrets making the switch from DSLR (various models from 300D through to 6D).

Thanks. I still have my old 5D mark 3 as a backup, but certainly wouldn't go back. I am using the old EF lenses still. 18 years old and still going strong. Hope to get the RF 100-500 L lens one day though! Hear it's an outstanding lens.

My wife has the 100-500 which Ieem to use a lot more! It is a lovely lens and has given me some excellent results - well for the price tag you would expect it to:LOL:

It is a bit heavy for carrying but I do use a Cotton Carrier Harness or take the RF 100-400 for ease. I would love to change body but the R's 32MP means either an R6 III or an R5, neither of which is affordable so I'll stick with the R as it doeswhat I want when I get it right.
