Does anyone have any experience with this company or its NAS products?

Good? Bad? Ugly?

My QNAP NAS is getting old and I thought it prudent to replace it before it gaaaks.

Any insights or suggestions would be most appreciated!

I am not a Linux guy, so unless it has an idiot-proof GUI, I'll probably pass.

No, it doesn't by default. In this case TrueNAS or smth like Synology might be better choice.

I’m going to have experience later this year. They have a kickstarter for a new series of AI-powered NAS and I put down a $30 deposit before the kickstarter began which guarantees me an even better price than the normal kickstarter discount.

I pledged for the top of the line 6-bay AI version.
