Caught in the act. A tauhou, wax-eye or silvereye (Zosterops lateralis), one of many engaged in eating my figs. Fortunately, we have so many figs this year that they are helping to preserve my, ahem, "equanimity", by reducing my personal fig intake.

The light spot above his eye is smaller, and the nose is different. If a person didn't know he would think they were two different dogs.
Nice looking dog either way.

My wife and I spent a few days in Corpus Christi, Texas last week and we made time to go out to PINS a couple days. Padre Island National Seashore has the longest undeveloped barrier island beach on the planet, according to its management. It is a magical place but, unfortunately, an immense amount of flotsam trash accumulates on the beach due to local wind patterns and water currents. We saw lots of birds while we were there.

All pics were captured using my RF100-500 lens.

Now, I have to confess. Somehow I accidentally changed a setting and Aspect Ration was on 1:6 Crop. So my normal 24 mp images were 9mp. Amazed at the results none the less. And cannot figure how I accidentally changed that setting!

Another really strong set of images bursting with interest for the viewer - the flower images are dripping with rich colours and nature's beauty, but the rather splendid #3 with it's terrific mix of punchy leading lines and dreamy reflections just takes it for us (though we're suckers for waterfalls too).
