Canon R7 Canon R7 Firmware Update 1.4.0

The latest firmware for the Canon R7 is now version 1.4.0 which was released Dec 5th, 2023

Firmware Version 1.4.0 incorporates the following fix:

• Adds support for RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
• Fixes minor issues.

If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.4.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

The firmware can be downloaded from Canon's Support Sites.

Installed with no issues.

Installed with no issues as well. No noticeable improvements to anything that i can see.

I see others have installed with no issues but....I get to the screen with
"Firmware update program
Update firmware?
1.3.1 -> 1.4.0
EOSR7140.FIR
Cancel OK"
and the OK is greyed out and whilst the cancel is highlighted nothing happens when touching that button either.
Any ideas please?

Updating firmware you can’t use touch. Need to shift to OK with the back wheel or something.
