I used the 1.4x mostly for travel and to extend my reach on the RF100-400 to minimize weight. Today I got a wild hair and decided to mount it on my the 200-800. Overall it did a nice job although it pushed the aperture from f9 to f13 when fully extended. On the R5 it produced more noise than I like but Topaz cleaned it up, I'll have to mount it on the R6 MkII and take it for a run.

Outstanding photo!

Yes, it takes a lot of light and often it moves the combo out of the golden hour range. But, if you're in daylight... Great photo!

Appreciated Jim

We had overcast skies today in Chicago and I had to push the ISO just to grab a couple frames. I was thinking of this combo for Alaska in June of next year but I should probably mount it on the R6 MkII before packing up any gear for the trip.

Really hoping the R7 MkII is released and available in Q4. A friend has the R7 but enough of his images are impacted by rolling shutter to have me wait.
