Wasn't quite sure were to post this. I'm looking for an inexpensive printer (preferably inkjet), and by inexpensive I'm referring to both the printer itself and ink cartdridges.

My goal is to print out a buch of 4"×6" prints to place them into an album (like what people did in the old film days).

I have owned Epson and Canon printers in the past, and I remember how frustrating it was to calibrate the monitor and get semi-decent prints. I also know of a few good online labs, but I don't want to deal with the shipping headaches. I'd rather just do it on my iwn at my own pace.

Thanks!

I don't know what you consider "inexpensive," but I recently bought an Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 for $500. It was on sale at B&H, and the current price is $750. I don't worry about calibration, but I do use the printer/paper profiles developed by Keith Cooper (see reviews here: https://www.youtube.com/@KeithCooper/videos ).The results are fantastic. One caveat: the printer works best with semi-gloss, satin, or luster paper, and leaves roller marks on high gloss paper.

I love my 8550!
