I just joined RF Shooters yesterday.
I live in beautiful Northern California along the coast near Redwood National and State Parks. Because of my location, I've taken to doing a lot of landscapes and seascapes. Though, I've been known to dabble in other forms of photography as I love to take photos as I travel. I also do a lot of photos for my employer's social media accounts.
I started shooting digital in 2002 on a Fujifilm point-and-shoot. I got a Canon Powershot A40 in 2003 before deploying overseas with the US Army. When I returned, I got my first DSLR, a Canon Digital Rebel (aka 300D) in 2005. In 2007, I switched to Pentax DSLRs when the K100d was released. I was drawn to the compatibility of K mount lenses and in-body image stabilization. I moved up from the K100d, to the K-3, and finally the KP before returning to Canon when I got my EOS R in 2020.
I look forward to viewing everyone's shots and sharing my own.
