Thought I try something new on these dark winter nights I needed something for my local camera club competition themedbon long exposure and ended up hanging a small torch from the ceiling and came up with a spirograph influenced image
using my R6 and EF 16-24mm wide angle lense

That is wonderful! How did you get the different colors?

Hi Hali,
I used this light pen with changeable ends it was cheap and cheerful so i though I would give it a go to see if it would work, suspended it from the ceiling on a length of string in a dark room and let it swing in different directions , the image is 4 separate images opened in photoshop, adjusted the colour saturation and moved them into position to a pleasing composition

Thank you so much!! That's so interesting to know, I might have to get one and try it for my next camera club comp! Although, when I looked it's out of stock in the US, I'll have to check out Ebay.

They are not the best quality but ok to experiment with but another option would be small torch and coloured film or gels taped over the light
