Had a trip up to Scotland last week specifically to photograph Pine Martens. Now the youngsters have become more independent their need for daytime feeding had gone too so it's back to night time photography. Using experience gained at home photographing Badgers I now have a different species on a stump! Once again, used cheap LED security light for illumination allowing the PM to choose if it wants to enter the space rather than use flash that might startle .It's a tricky compromise between settings when the light is poor. The images were not very noisy but I have run them through Topaz to clean them up a bit more!
Oh, and yes they are alive!!!

No fair. I want a stump for forest creatures to come pose on, too! (These guys are adorable!)

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
