I have been intrigued about this lens every since it was announced. Was waiting for the R7II ? Nothing so far. My local camera store had the 24-105 on sale. Now I own the 24-105 2.8. First impressions. Pared with the R5. Spent a few hours at Washington Park-Arboretum Seattle. This is a super lens for landscape photography. The only drawback? Fairly heavy to pack around. The 100-500 is lighter. If you are thinking of getting this lens. I did and love it. I am more of an artistic sort of person.Dont dwell on specs. Rate this beast a 9 out of 10 RJ

I have it and love it too. Thinking of swapping my RF 70-200 f/2.8 for the Z version as well.

Update. I have using this lens for Landscape photography. Paired with R5. I would rate this lens a 9 out of 10. It's just mind blowing in every aspect. You have the whiners on the internet about Canon and their lack of third-party lens. The first time I have dropped 3K for a lens. And in my opinion a bargain of a lens. AF on the R5 went from very good to super-fast and accurate and every that Canon is known for is just a little better with this kit. Still looking forward to paring this lens and R7.
