I am going on a quick trip to Minnesota this week and can’t decide which camera to take. I could take my R6 Mark 2 and two lenses: EF 16-35 F2.8 II L USM & RF 70-200 F4. Or I could take my Pentax K-50 with a single Pentax DA* 16-50 F2.8 lens. Sometimes the simplicity of the DSLR is nice. It’s also a lot less expensive to replace if something happened to it.

I’m split. I am leaning toward the Canon for the wider 16mm in the city. The K-50 is APS-C so the field of view is 24-75mm equivalent.

I decided to take my Canon. Now I need to choose which lenses I am going to take. I think my 16-35, even though it is rather large with the adapter, my 70-200, and maybe my 50 1.8, thoughI think it might be overkill. I have to fit it all in a 13L Peak Design Messenger bag. My other options are 85 f2, and 24-105 STM. Thoughts?

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
