I bought a Lexar Professional 2000x SDXC 128GB for my R6M2 about a month ago. I have 400 photos on it which i want to copy to my laptop. When i put the card in my card reader Windows 11 can't find the card. I got a 2nd card which is the same but a 32GB. Windows does recognize this one. Can someone tell me why it can't read the 128GB card and what can i do about it?

Have You tried connecting camera with card inside to laptop and check will it recognize ita as removable drive ?

I was going to suggest the same, I had a similar thing a while ago and found a newer card reader sorted it for me - not sure why but it worked.

The issue most likely isn't the size of the card but the technology. SDXC is Microsoft technology and was proprietary for a time. You need to have gear that is licensed to access it and the right drivers. This should all be transparent now but you may have a weak link in the chain.

So MS designed the format for SDXC and gets one dollar per card sold. Not a bad deal.

I might try that for the next generation, for SDXD, and watch the dollars come in. How hard can it be?

I connected my camera to my laptop through Wi-Fi and used EOS Utility. Both cards show up in EOS Utility and i can see and download images from both cards. So i think the problem might be the card reader

Kinda relevant post here.

Downloaded my Cfe and SD card yesterday using a ProGrade card reader to my new Yoga Slim 7X which is running the Snapdragon Arm64 chip. DL'ed into both LrC (which runs under emulation) and LR (which runs native ARM).
Only thing I noticed was that the downloads were a little slower than when I use my X86 Wintel machine (same reader and cards)
Bought the lightweight Yoga for downloading cards on the go while in Africa. My other laptop weighs a ton.
