B&W is better IMHO as the reds and blues distract my eye. Thank you for posting.

A couple of bridges from our recent visit to the Elan Vally in the Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales. The grim skies were useful for adding a little drama (though less so for remaining dry... 😅 ).

(Shot raw and processed using: DxO PhotoLab Elite/ Nik Collection and Adobe Lightroom Classic/ Photoshop).

1. This bridge is the 3rd to be sited here - the original one being used to access the workforce accommodation and compound during the construction of the Elan Valley dams. (It has been condemned as unsafe and is no longer in use).

2. This 'interestingly bouncy and swingy' bridge is provided to allow walkers - and in our case cyclists - to cross the Afon Elan (Elan River) to the sounds of increasingly nervous giggling... :D

Fantastic shots. Love the textures and the chiaroscuro effect.

Hi Mike,

Cheers - much appreciated!

Pleased to hear you enjoyed the overall treatment (I was slightly anxious as to whether I'd gone a bit over the top - I do tend to lean quite heavily towards contrasty/ punchy edits).

The Climber and the Dog

I primarily hike around with my R5, L-bracket with no strap and never had an issue. However after a few days hiking 6-10 hours through scree with the 100-500mm, I am seriously thinking of getting a Camera Clip for my backpack.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...

    Fantastic sport camera
This camera is FANTASTIC. I'm a dog sports shooter, so very fast indoor action with a lot of obstacles to shoot in and around. This camera does a...

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
