I have had printers in the past. All hobbyist style. They were Epson and worked well but the cost of the inks became prohibitive for the amount I was printing and the cost of good paper was not inexpensive either
If you do decide to get a printer don’t just think about the availability and cost of the printer itself, but also the cost of inks, paper and factor in the time you need to set up a calibration for the printer and papers so it looks right.
