I have a number of Canon lenses I'm hoping to use with my new R5. The adapter appears to be in short supply. Has anyone used one, or know of a source?

I Bought the Viltrox EF-RE2 and the EF--EOS R from YM Camera
of the two i prefer the EF-RE2

I have both the genuine Canon Adaptor and the Meike MK-EFTR-A Metal Lens Adapter. Maybe I was lucky to get a good copy, but I can't tell the difference between them. The Meike has a similar tight fit and rubber weather seal.

The Viltrox doesn't have seals, I wish knew that before I bought it. Besides that I find it (non control ring) works perfectly and a perfect fit to body and lens

Made a bit of a cock up. Sold my EF lens to MPB. Had a few issues boxing up the 24-70.. left the control ring adapter attached! Didn’t know until they paid me for it! :ROFLMAO:

Ouch! From what I have heard of MPB they are likely to send the control ring back if you ask. Was a Canon ring?

Yep a canon, with the control ring. I was going to Greg, if I’m honest it would probably only be used if I borrowed a lens.

Even so, you cold be £100 or more out of pocket. On top of that MPB give you an under market price. I know its more hassle you could have sold it on eBay or Facebook Market and be a lot better off

MPB prices are pretty good. By the time e you take off the eBay cost and commission there’s nothing in it. Other camera shops can’t get near what MPB offer. You can get a no obligation auto quote for most things on their website. Try it, you might be surprised.
