A quick question - I have scoured Canon's product and support pages for the user manual for the DM-E1 microphone, but to no avail. I just want confirmation that switching the mic to 'Auto' means that it only turns on when the cable is conected to the camera. I tend to forget to switch the mic off after taking it off the camera and if the 'Auto' setting does what I assume, that will conserve the battery when I forget. If anyone can confirm my assumption, I would be grateful.
