Hi

Given the small size and weight of the R8 (461g on paper), it may open new possibility to travel light.

I was wondering if some has shared experience with the usage of mini tripod with the R8 / RP?

I am going on a travel, and the Tripod/Remote combo offered by the HG-100TBR seems quite interesting ... something ultra light just for very occasionnal family shoot.

The problem is this tripod is limited to 1Kg load, and my R8 and the 24-105 f/4 is 1.161g on paper (1.235g with battery, memorycard and lens filter). It seems quite at the limit of the HG-100TBR.

Does anybody have used it?
Or any recommandation to any mini tripod having a 1.3Kg load capacity?

I am searching for something ultra small, I allready have a Manfrotto 190CXPRO4, excellent for dedicated photo session, but too heavy for a family trip.

I am more looking at little things like the HG-100TBR.

Thanks

For hiking I have a 3-Legged Thing Punk series Billy (and the Winston 2.0 for less than ideal conditions) You can get them with or without a ball head or leveling base, or cinema.
