Photographing the Photographer
I wanted to try out a different type of selfie and only had 10 seconds.
Gear:
Camera ~ Canon R5 with RF15-35mm f/2.8 and 18mm extension tube on a 3-Legged Thing tripod.
Prop ~ Kodak Brownie Target Six-20 on a 3-Legged Thing tripod.
Subject ~ Great looking landscape photographer using a Kinax II IPO camera.
Setup:
By using an extension tube and shooting at 35mm it required most of the focusing by using the center column of the tripod, as the DoF is extremely small.
It also required extreme precision on placing the Viewfinder exactly in the center of the frame.
Attempt:
The Kodak Brownie and the Kinax IPO are old cameras I intentional went for texture using black and white for the composition, rather than attempting color.
The sunlight was ever changing as the clouds were darting across the sky, so the camera settings are: f/3.2 ~ 1/400 sec ~ ISO 400 ~ 35mm
Question:
Does this work? What would you do differently?
