Good morning, everyone. I found this blog/forum while searching for information on Canon lenses.
Years ago, I did some amateur photography with a Minolta SRT-201 film camera. In the Fall of 2024, I decided I wanted more than cell phone pictures, so I purchased a Canon EOS R100 body with the two kit lenses. I've been enjoying re-learning about framing, the exposure triangle, etc., and I am excited for the new season of travel, hiking, etc. I recently purchased a Canon RF28/2.8 lens. It is roughly equivalent to a 50mm lens when used on my R100.
I like photographing outdoors, primarily landscapes and animals. I'm currently considering adding a lens with macro capability to give me some more flexibility with the smaller aspects of the world around us.
A shamrock plant in my home recently bloomed. This was taken with a Canon RF-S55-210mm kit lens.
Looking forward to seeing what others are doing.
