Lens front and back quite clean and sensor seemed clean but gave it a camera auto clean see what some images look like this arvo

Not sure what the issue is either.
 
Do you mean the "banding"? I think that is sunlight through the various density and thickness of the cloud structures, as well as precip. If not, then I am very, very bad at this game of "find the issue with this photo". :)

BTW, I like the photos. I think the effect looks cool.

I agree with Jim, Peter. If you don't see it on a clear sunny day, or under any other conditions...especially at night, then I would also guess that it is rays of sunshine.
