Canon R5 R5 focusing through a wire link fence

I tried to focus through the fence without success. I know I could have done it manually.

Have I missed a menu option that overcomes wire fences?

The attached picture shows the fence.

Move closer to the fence, the closer ther better. Use a wide aperture and spot focus. If you use back button focusing, release the button once in focus and take the shot. You won’t loose the wire entirely but it’s better than no shot at all. Here’s one I made earlier..
