Just picked up a new R7 after a series of Minolta/Sony failures. Looking forward to learning new system and hopefully contributing to this forum.

I mainly shoot random artsy shots from road trips but my #1 passion is Wild Horses in Nevada and Arizona.

Welcome to the forum, and you have some interesting shots.

You're going to have a lot of fun. Love your wild horse shoots.

The R7 at first seems to be daunting. I downloaded a manual only to find it’s about 600 pages. Searching YouTube for basic tutorials. Seems to me loads. Are there recommendations? I’m on medical leave post knee replacement so I have time to play with this thing and get familiar before my next Roadtrip. I do two a year.

Upcoming route not determined yet but starting in Washington and ending first leg in New Mexico. My trips average between 3800-4300 miles. I avoid freeways when possible. Sometimes they can’t be avoided. I’m fascinated that I can Bluetooth images from the R7 to my phone.

Who dreams these features up?

Love these shots Nick! Thanks for joining up here and sharing them with us.

Thank you. I hope my next batch will be from my R7. I would like them critiqued. Only way I’m going to learn the Canon system is by fellow shooters.

Welcome! I am following for the wild horse shots! I love all things equestrian and your images are wonderful.

Welcome to the forum, Series6.

Your remark about the manual for the R7 made me smile, as I did a double take when I located the manual for the R6 Mark II that I just bought.
