In one of the photo-related groups I am in on Facebook, a lady asked if anyone could help fix the lens flare in some pictures of her and her family at the Little League World Series where her son had competed. Most people don't realize how dirty and smudged the lens on a smartphone gets. So the flare from the field lights really messed up the pictures.
I love a good challenge so I downloaded them, imported into Lightroom and went to work. I made basic adjustments to exposure, contrast, shadow detail etc. Then I thought maybe to try the new Remove Reflections AI tool that was just introduced. I felt the flare sort of looked like a reflection. And it worked! I had to do some additional work and remove some other distractions. The horizontal shot was harder since the flare went through some of the faces, I took it into Topaz Photo AI and upsized it as it was really low resolution and did some face enhancement.
My good deed for the day, the lady was so thankful for what I did.
