So, as a Christmas present to myself this year I fell whilst hiking and completely destroyed my right arm. Which is my dominant arm. It looks like I am going to need a shoulder replacement. This means no photography and editing is very limited since I have to use my left hand. Has anybody had experience with the tour box for Light Room Classic that I've been seeing advertised all over the place I'm wondering whether I can use that to work a bit on Lightroom and at least feel like I'm doing something. Other than going crazy being incapacitated.

Any feedback would be appreciated Best wishes and happy New year to everybody

Glad to hear you made a full recovery!! It gives me hope

It's been 10 days since the accident, and it's already getting old. though I'm slowly learning to use my left hand more smoothly already. Many Thanks!!

Sorry to hear about your accident and injury Hali. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I don't have any input or opinions about the device of which you are speaking. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed some light on it for you.

I wiped out my left shoulder in 2019 (dislocated, sheared rotator cuff and broke the head of the humerus in 5 places). But I had a good surgeon who put the parts back where they belonged.

His best advice was to immobilize it for at least 4 weeks and then do ALL the physical therapy. Very slowly at first and then start pushing it a bit more every week. Not fun for 9+ months. BUT I have my shoulder and arm back! Still not 100%, but I keep working on it.

Best of luck for a full recovery!

OMG!! That is worse than mine. I only broke mine in 3 places but sheared the piece holding the attachment for the rotator cuff off. PT and I are good friends so I sadly know the routine. It’s this waiting that is hard and not knowing what they are going to do

I’m glad you’re healing well and on your way to 100%. Was it your dominant arm? I’m so frustrated that it could be 4 months until I can use a camera again

Fortunately for me, it was my left (not dominant) arm. So I was still able to largely fend for myself post-surgery.

(Frightening thought- having to deal with 'bathroom activities' using only my non-dominant arm. Oh my!) Duuude, I am redoubling my best wishes for you!!

Wishing you all the best for recovery Hali. I can relate to the non-dominant arm. I shattered my right radius and spent my 15th birthday in hospital. Yep - one of the hardest issues is the bathroom hygeine! Also didn't help doing school homework leading up to exams - one-finger typewriter essays take a looooong time. Still got the pin in the arm nearly 50 years later - and they said I'd lose 15-20% usage. Great physio - had me using ice buckets in mid-winter but it worked and virtually no loss at all. There is hope - you just need patience and will.

I have a Tourbox which works pretty well with LrC but NOT LR (desktop), which is my preferred software.
Thanks!! Upon further research, I realized that I still need two good hands to use it. Maybe once I recover, it will be a possibility
