This week I traded in my old T8i DSLR and Tamron 18-400 lens on a new RF100-500L lens to use on my new Canon EOS R6 Mk III. I have not taken it out to try yet, but I think I'm going to love that lens.

Also bought a Mindshift Backlight 26 L pack.

No, I did not buy a new lens or camera

(I'm sure you're as stunned as I am.....

I did order a new GPU - Asus GeForce RTX 5090. I've been wanting to upgrade for awhile and decided to pull the trigger before the RAM/DRAM prices/shortages make these unobtainable.

I finally got my hands on a Promedia Gear L-Bracket for my R5 ( with battery grip). Expensive - very! - but it appears to be extremely well-built and it fits perfectly, allowing access to all ports and the battery door, as well as allowing the flippy screen full movement. Just need to take it out and test it....

Also, I bought a Leofoto Ranger mini-tripod. Again, seems to be well-made. I've replaced the very small Arca-Swiss Clamp for an older but larger one that I had lying around. Once again, field-testing awaits...

Oh, also, I bought the few Kase adapters and rings for the RF lenses that I've picked up over the past 18 months. They're going to need a field-test as well!

Finally, and just outside the time limit of "this week", I bought a pair of Vallerett Markhof gloves at The Photography Show in Birmingham. As with my previous purchases, they need a field-test. I'm going to be busy...

I have the power-bank version of this (is that what your is, I can't tell?). I always have it with me when I'm out but, so far, I haven't needed to use it in anger. I have noticed, however, that the internal battery seems to stay fully charged for ever...
