Welcome to our Canon RF Shooters Forum

Be apart of something great, join today!

Life has been really busy and I have not posted for a while. I hope to get back into the forum a bit more now. Catching up on some spring bird photos. First up, a red-winged blackbird that has been consistently visiting our yard.

Finally, a couple of common grackle photos. The first shows a grackle calling out his territory-they always look angry to me. The second photo captured the grackle mid-blink, showing a transparent eyelid.

Hi Don,

We feel your pain on life getting in the way, but welcome back!

A terrific return too, with a set of beautifully captured birds - wonderful fine feather detail, eye-pop and vibrant colours in evidence.

Well done - and thank you for sharing... 🙂

Hi Roy,

We're kind of hoping this isn't a self-portrait...

A very eye-catching image - and possibly the last good night's sleep many viewers will have had for some time.

Inspirational stuff! Thank you for sharing... 🙂

OK this may be too many photos of a Puffin, but when they are this charismatic and so talented at posing. You can’t help yourself.
I’ve posted a link below rather than uploading multiple photos. Hope that is OK?

The posing Puffin.
Hi Phil,

The link is very welcome - and the images waiting at the end are well worth following it for.

Bempton is another 'puffin hot spot' which has been on our list for a good while (and another we have yet to get round to visiting).

Thank you for sharing... 🙂

Got a thread on possible issues with brand new R5 MK II color, at least in comparison with my R3. But went to my test area today to see if everything works and how it fared:

Hi Bob,

Congratulations on your new/ additional tech! (We hope you get the colour thing sorted to your satisfaction).

Hi David,

We presume this is, in fact 'the early bird' - it certainly got the worm...

(Possibly to the worm's annoyance - something we'll never know for sure).

However, a moment in time where the fates of the participants diverged significantly - superbly captured. Thank you for sharing... 🙂

The riding hall, at the time adapted for cultural events (the sawdust had been removed from the floor and seating provided for the audience).
