Lago Vannino, Val Formazza, Italia.

Lake Vannino is a lake located in the municipality of Formazza , in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola .

Andrea,
You live in a beautiful area, and have the eye to capture that beauty. Thanks for sharing. I love the color of the water.

Colorful Quiet Coastal Town

I ran across the Chev S-10 Blazer "Xtreme Model" that was manufactured between 2001 and 2005. After walking to the other side of the street for a better view, I came across the owner. He told me he has an match tear-drop trailer he tows with it. The Spiderweb trim is material he bought from JoAnne's Fabric and if he gets tired of it he'll just peel it off.

Get outta here!

A friend in greed — what every overfed lorikeet needs.

The photographic challenge was to get two birds' eyes in focus. Stopping the aperture down to f/6.3 helped (as did the R5m2's 30 frames/second with pre-continuous capture).

The first photograph is reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s. The lighting, tones, and balanced framing fit the mood and the locale. Nicely done.

The Foric Pass and the Zube Alpine Pasture. Valsesia, Italia.

The Foric Pass, at 2,432 m , takes its name from the stream of the same name that flows towards the Pianmisura Alps (Piccola and Grande). From the Foric Pass, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Val d'Olen, the Monterosa massif, and part of the Valle d'Otro. Not far away, about 15 minutes away, is a plateau with the Zube Alp at 2,515 m. Continuing, climbing a little further, you reach the Zube Pass at 2,874 m, which allows passage towards the Gressoney Valley and offers a majestic panorama of the Aosta Valley Alps.
