Looks remarkably like Sorbus aucuparia. If it is then it must've been an introduction (S. aucuparia is eurasian in distribution).

Kererū - New Zealand pigeon - Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae.

This pair have been with us for a few years, and their favourite evening spot is eating the young foliage on an old almond tree on our clifftop. In summer, when the wild plums in our valley are covered in fruit, they will gorge themselves almost to the point of being unable to fly.

About 2 hours north of our city is Hecla Island. People from Iceland settled there. Actually on the way up there is town called Gimli where Icelanders also settled. Both on Lake Winnipeg. Parts of the old ferry dock still stand. I faintly remember going over on the ferry in a car with my parents. I was probably about 5-7 years old. In 1973 they built a causeway to connect to the island.

I took the original photograph at Conimicut Point Park in Warwick, RI. It was a hurried shot. I thought the bird would look better against the water, so I created the second version. I am not a bird photographer by any stretch of imagination. Does the modified background work better for the bird (I think it's a seagull)? The main purpose of the experiment was to explore editing the image background.

I can count up to 20, but I would have to take off my shoes. Nobody wants that.

Generative Remove with app I'm using is amazing. They all are. Something I would attempt that took forever and I'd usually gave on now takes seconds.

#2 for me as well.

Species? (Quite) Possibly Ring-billed gull (Larus delawarensis).

The pedant in me says they are gulls, not seagulls. From memory, most gulls are not pelagic (in the UK we have one species of gull which is considered pelagic - the Kittiwake - which only really returns to land for breeding)
