Any R System images (stills or movies) can be posted. If you would like to say something about them in terms of the subject, settings, or post-processing, that will be very welcome.

Remember, you don't have to only post things you took this month - sometimes people don't get around to processing/ editing images straight after shooting them. (Think of it more as an ‘images I’d like to post here this month’ thing). Images taken with non-R System lenses are also very welcome - this adds to the interest and diversity. Images posted here will also be available to view in a dedicated Monthly R System Images Galley, which can be found Here.

Commenting on other people’s posts is encouraged, as it keeps everyone interested and coming back. (Please aim to be considerate, thoughtful and constructive). We’ll aim to provide some feedback too - but please note we are away for part of each month and busy with ‘life stuff’. The lack of a comment from us is not a sign of disfavour!

Finally, please post in accordance with the RF Shooters Community Guidelines.

Fantastic! An inspirational image guaranteed to capture the attention of any viewer and draw them in for a closer look. They should be well impressed.

The end result is well worth your (considerable) efforts - we wouldn't know where to start - and hopefully, given enough time, your tech will recover too.

A terrific set of images - we really like the B&W treatments and the bird shots are all equally wonderful, with superb fine feather detail and eye-pop being apparent throughout (although the eastern bluebird just takes it as our absolute favourite - what a little cutie!).

A fantastic capture of a beautiful creature - grey herons have wonderful plumage and are often content to patiently hang around and pose.

There is terrific detail and eye-catch light in this shot, with the setting and backdrop being absolutely spot on too - thank you for sharing...

As I was waiting to go to Portugal I made some programming changes to both my R6II and R7. The R7 has only one QC dial and you can't program the Magnify button for AF. I like to keep both bodies as consistent ads possible so that presented a few problems.

I've always kept AF on the Shutter button and used the AF-ON to toggle for AF override if Eye Detect failed. I know have the AF-ON set to Zone AF. It worked really well picking out any cormorant out of a bunch I wanted shoot. It's great for BIF. Still evaluating that. Now the * button cycles between Whole Area AF, Single and Spot AF if I need to hone in. Both bodies offer Eye Detect in all those modes so it worked well.

My biggest problem has always been switching between fast and slow shutter speeds quickly so I programmed the C1-3 for that. I was so excited to get out I forgot to use it . ISO was far too high for stills. Next time.

Thanks. I'm used to working on a 27" screen and now I'm on a 13' laptop so struggling a little there. I got my process down before I left so I have to put some trust into that. Going to head over to a local electronics store and look into a monitor.

I believe it's the same squirrel each time, though there's a group of 3-4 who have worked out this is a good spot to find (and 'borrow') bird seed/ nuts.

Suspect #1 is in the habit of hiding round the back of the nearest tree, then taking a cheeky peek to see if we're still watching. What a little cutie...
