we eliminated the lawn many years ago. Instead, we have flower beds and a large patio area.

That looks an ideal use of space to me. In our limited outdoor space, we're making better use of potted plants.

My dream. We have 2.5 acres of garden, too much of it grass. Even with a nifty ride-on mower, it takes far too long to mow - but on the upside, I do get to listen to lots of podcasts...

One of my garden birds: it appreciates a small acknowledgment of its presence — a handful of birdseed will do — but it'll stand quietly on a decaying fallen branch it there's nothing to peck on offer

These images were processed with heavy doses of DXO Photolab 9 Smart Lighting and ClearView Plus to remedy the harsh midday sun and hazy sky.

The Anthony Mills, built in 1873 in the Italianate architectural style, was the largest building in Rhode Island at that time. It produced textiles including narrow fabric, using Italian knitting machines and Italian and American needle looms. In 2012, the main mill was renovated into luxury loft apartments.

I will share a few more photographs from the wild roses down the street and some from our backyard. Wild roses are considered a "weed" along with the Japanese Knotweed. They share the same wild area a couple of hundred feet from our house. To me, they are far more delightful than weeds, mainly because I am not fighting them in my backyard! Aside from that, the abundance of the rose blossoms, buds, and the aroma (although weaker this year) are highly enjoyable to experience and photograph.

So anyway, yesterday ( ) we visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for a special Gold Members event where they introduced us to the four cheetah cubs.

I think it's fair to say they were quite pleased to see us...

It was a really fun session - we were in the first group (of around 30 people - lots of cameras in evidence!) led down to an area right next to the cheetah enclosure which is normally out of bounds and we had 30 minutes to watch and photograph them through the single mesh fencing while the staff gave us some inside info. All four were out with their mother ('Darcy') taking it in turns to give us their entry for the cutie of the month contest. This was the first time they'd seen visitors in this area and so close to them - and it was also the first time they'd been fed outside of their pen. It hugely enjoyable.

I'm still working through the first weeding session for our files (without any desire to brag, I'm chucking stuff away some people would put on their walls).

I was referring to the images from Witley Court and Great Witley Parish Church, Great Witley, Worcestershire, England. But, every image you post is a visual treat and inspires me to do better.
