A big thanks to everyone who joined in with the motion blur photography challenge last month.

So for this month I thought we could see how people get on with a water photography challenge.

If you would like some tips on water photography then this article will point you in the right direction:
https://digital-photography-school.com/9-water-photography-ideas-splash/

This is not a competition so there will be no winners announced, it's purely for fun and self-development.

Simple Rules:
  • Canon R Series cameras only please
  • Please don't post more than 3 separate posts, multiple images may be included in a single post.
Have fun!

Sunrise, June 6, 2021, at a local park.

I took these in late March at two small waterfalls in Connecticut.

Taken the weekend before last near our home. Colin had my good lens on the R5, I had the R6 with RF 50mm 1.8 STM on when the sun broke through the clouds and hit the little clearing by the lake. I yelled at Colin to get the shot, but he was at a bad angle, so I took it with the 50. As I was processing it, I kept finding ducks kind of hidden all over in the image.

So many ways to get shots. Just looking at the long exposures then this. Did you see what jumped in? Love it!
Thank you, I was trying to just take a shot of the water and reacted when I heard the sploosh of somethnig hitting the water. I actually had no idea what happened as I did not chimp after. I only saw it when I got home and downloaded it..

This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...

    Fantastic sport camera
This camera is FANTASTIC. I'm a dog sports shooter, so very fast indoor action with a lot of obstacles to shoot in and around. This camera does a...

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
