Hi All. Thanks for letting me join. My name is Jack and I live in Calgary, Alberta. Just got the R7 and kit lens yesterday. Coming from a Rebel XS to the R7 is going to be a huge learning experience. I may ask a lot of a questions for the first while. Really looking forward to figuring out camera and getting to know the people on this site.

Thanks for the welcome Tim. I had no intentions of buying a new camera. We have just returned from a holiday in Cornwall UK and I found my self changing lenses all the time. So I went looking for an “put it on and leave it on” lens. Something wide but also longer than 18-55 kit lens. After searching online and stopping at one of the local camera stores I was not finding much. The store had a R7 with lens and after holding it -well you know-seemed like the only sensible thing to do was buy it. So many MORE features than the old camera!! Going to do a few test shots this morning.
