Nice capture, do you usually use the 100 to 500 for macro?

Thanks. Often, yes, I do use the 100 to 500 (often with the 1.4 extender on) for macro but only because I set out to shoot birds primarily. The macro shots are just something I'll take when something interesting presents itself or there are a lack of birds that day. The lens works out well for that.Nice capture, do you usually use the 100 to 500 for macro?
Yep, that's what I do too. The RF 100-500 is such a versatile lens, it is useful for small subjects.Thanks. Thank you.Great eye detail on the fly.
It looks great! What a weird-looking beetle. Nice find.My attempt at a focus bracketed stag beetle (クワガタムシ kuwagatamushi). It wouldn't stay completely still.

Thanks. This one just showed up on our front doorstep. You can find them in trees eating sap and some can actually fetch a hefty sum, depending on the size. I probably should have measured it to see if it was worth anything. I just put it back in a tree nearby. It looks great! What a weird-looking beetle. Nice find.
Thanks! It is a nice combo.Really nice shots! I'm hoping for that 100mm to pair with my R7 some day!
Nice set of images, and a nice variety.
