Probably a Pieris rapae (モンシロチョウ monhirochou)

Asian long-horned beetle (ツヤハダゴマダラカミキリ tsuyahadagomadarakamikiri)

Nice soft lighting on these. It is interesting to see the bugs of Japan.

Leafhoppers. One problem with these little bugs is figuring out which end is the front, so you can try to get an eye in focus.

In Ottawa we have ancient sand dunes left from a sea that existed here thousands of years ago. These old dunes host a variety of insect life, including the Bronzed Tiger Beetle. They are predatory. In the middle pic you can see it has caught a small bee.
