Lovely set of images guys, you have a great eye for composition, I think some of your shots would be stunning in BW as it would bring out the details in the buildings ? IMHO Chimpy
Hi Ron,

Cheers - much appreciated! Pleased to hear you enjoyed our images.

Great call on the B&W too - I may well return to them and try this out. (y) :)

Before we leave on today's sun drenched jaunt (yes, it's true! 🌞) into rural central England, here's a recent re-edit - 'Blackbird on a black background'...

(Captured in Hartshill Country Park, Warwickshire, England. Shot raw and processed with: DxO PhotoLab Elite/ Nik Collection, Adobe Lightroom Classic/ Photoshop and Topaz Labs Studio 2).

I love the processing on your shot 👍 the lighting on the black bird looks like it's been lit with flash and it makes the details pop.

Hi Ron,

Cheers - appreciated! I was very happy with the way the re-edit came out.

This blackbird is one of our regular winter wood walk subjects (we have a symbiotic relationship involving wild bird seed and nuts for photos... :D ).

My wife, our dog and I went camping up near Ennis, Texas which is south of Dallas. We were hoping to photograph the bluebonnet wildflowers but the weather didn't cooperate. Prior to the bad weather blowing in we had a nice afternoon at the state park. I mostly shot with my R7 and the RF 16mm and also a Tokina 12-24mm f/4 EF mount lens I have owned for a few years and find it to be sharp enough and a good one for now since Canon has yet to market a wide angle RFs lens.

These are just fun pics, nothing too fancy, I ended up doing 2 panoramas. Each was made from 3 shots taken with the RF 16mm and stitched and edited in Lightroom. I remember the early days of stitching images and Adobe sure has come a long way since then!

I got a new propane grill at Costco last month so we tried it out, the campfire grills at most of our state parks are nasty and sometimes broken so this make grilling dinner easier!

The view from our campsite was nice. We would see bass jump in the water every now and then.

Another pano taken down towards the fishing piers. Gorgeous day after the storm had rolled through at sunrise.

Hi Chris,

You‘ve done really well to hold things together with the stitches - very fine outcomes! Looks like a nice place to chill.

That grill has also made us feel rather peckish - luckily, our homemade pizzas have just gone in the oven… 👨‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Yes, Chris, panorama stitching has come a long ways since Lightroom v5.

My two favorite things to grill are Cedar Plank Salmon, Flat Iron Steak, and Bacon Wrapped Habanero Poppers....er, the three favorite things. Cedar Plank Salmon, Flat Iron Steak, Bacon Wrapped Habanero Poppers, and Beer Can Chicken.

We were able to enjoy the zoo today! Had the R6II with me paired with the RF 100-400. First test of 40 fps e-shutter and the AF. Can’t say as it held the eye perfectly, but it kept up with a running Cheetah through a fence.
