My wife and I spent a few days in Corpus Christi, Texas last week and we made time to go out to PINS a couple days. Padre Island National Seashore has the longest undeveloped barrier island beach on the planet, according to its management. It is a magical place but, unfortunately, an immense amount of flotsam trash accumulates on the beach due to local wind patterns and water currents. We saw lots of birds while we were there.

All pics were captured using my RF100-500 lens.

Please note we're now away until mid-May in the land of the red dragon (a Frank-Fest to Wales). We will be unable to provide any feedback until after we return (and dry out!). In the meantime keep having fun - and stay safe...

BTW, I jest, but my Grandpa Mac was born in Wiarton.... My Great-Grandpa Mac and Great-Grandma Emily (on my Dad's side) were from Edenborough. My Mom's side are from Finland. So, I may very well be establishing my dual citizenship with any of these fine countries when I retire.

(Probably not Finland. Love the people, but the language is brutally difficult to learn for this Yank - waaay too many consonants!) My Grandma and her sisters would speak in Finish when they didn't want us kids to follow along. That's cheating! LOL!

So, whatever happens, I'll be able to say I'm damn proud to be an American! And damn proud to be a Canadian! And damn proud to be a Scot! And damn proud to be a Finn!

Any R System images can be posted. If you would like to say something about the subject, settings, or processing, that will be very welcome.

Remember, you don't have to only post things you took this month - sometimes people don't get around to processing/ editing images straight away. (Think of it more as an ‘images I’d like to post here this month’ sort of thing). Images taken with non-R System lenses are also very welcome as this adds to the interest.

Images posted on this thread will also be available to view in the dedicated Monthly R System Images Gallery.

Commenting on people’s posts is encouraged, as it keeps everyone interested and coming back. (Please try to be considerate, thoughtful and constructive).

We aim to provide feedback - but note we are away for part of each month and busy with ‘life stuff’. The lack of a comment from us is not a sign of disfavour!
