‘Out of Office’ - We’re away for a few days on a Frank-Fest and will be unable to provide feedback until we return. Have lots of fun in our absence! :)

In the meantime, some images from strolls around our local woods at Hartshill Country Park, Warwickshire, England.

(Shot raw and processed using: DxO PL Elite, Adobe LrC/ PS with Tony Kuyper Panels and Topaz Labs Photo AI).

Very nice photos! I really like No 5: the robin is beautiful and the composition is perfect

A few recent photos: First up, a Carolina wren stopping by for a snack from our feeders.

Finally, a photo of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, which carries the Interstate 93 highway over the Charles River and into the "Big Dig" tunnels under Boston. I had a windless (but cold) evening so I was able to get nice reflections in the river. This was a 5 exposure HDR composite that helped bring out some of the colors.

Loule, Portugal. Every Saturday there is big market with all types of foods. Music, etc.

Our favourite stroll past the old castle.

For years I've wanted to get a shot of this fellow and today I took a chance. I nicknamed him Slash as he reminds me of Guns and Roses. I always say to my wife I hope Slash is there and he always is. Not that I was worried about him being a bike rider. That bunch is always there enjoying the day. It's that privacy thing going on these days.

Went to the local town rodeo last night, sort of a right of springtime here in Texas.

Nice lens.
A ‘nice lens’ that needs to be used more often!

I’m trying my hand at focus stacking. That photo is actually a blend of twenty-five separate images. (f/2.8 and 5–6 cm in focus are the clues.)

Maybe, I should use a tripod next time; and also master the LrC—>Ps—>LrC techniques involved so that I don’t need to continually seek assistance online. All good fun!

Non-native baby snuffler....
OMG it's so adorable! I know it's invasive but it's so incredibly adorable! Great garden images. I can't believe your gardens are in full bloom. We are covered by 5 inches of the white stuff and expecting a nasty mix of that and rain tonight and tomorrow and over the weekend.

My ME course is coming to a close but there will be lots of these still to come. It's a new obsession. As I may have said it combines the best of all worlds for me - being out with my camera (although I've spent too much time in cities for my like the last few months and not enough in greenery-the city ones are recent images and the two garden ones are from the summer) and playing around on the computer. If anyone is interested in Multiple Exposure I highly recommend my teacher, she's based in the UK and leads in person workshops as well as classes on zoom. (And she shoots with a Canon R series!!)

Great set. I really like the last one.

Hi RW,

‘Don’t forget to look up’ is one of our favourite strap lines - and what an imposing sight to be greeted by here.

You’ve caught the piercing stare beautifully through the canopy (protective shield?) of branches.

Well done on keeping the camera steady - and thank you for sharing... 🙂

Hi Don,

Cheers - much appreciated! :)

Very pleased to read you enjoyed these - that robin is a real cutie (and a very smart cookie).

Hi Don,

Two wonderful images of beautiful creatures, followed by an absolutely scintillating night-scape.

All beautifully captured, with great detail and colour (but that stunning bridge is a scene stealer).

Well done all-round - and thank you for sharing... 🙂

Hi Only RF,

A fascinating collection of street shots all absolutely crammed with interest for the viewer.

(But you know we’ll favour the B&W ones - which are superb and therefore duly favoured!).

Thank you for sharing... 🙂

Hi Chris,

Crikey - what an adrenaline infused series of jaw droppingly dangerous pursuits shots (although you may think carrying the flag in image #1 is relatively safe - you haven’t seen Phil on a horse!).

A feast of skills, courage and things you won’t find us doing.

The young lady aboard the bucking sheep deserves a medal… 🏅

Photographically speaking - all superbly caught and presented, with terrific (and terrifying) detail and rich colours. We now need to lie down for a bit.

Well done indeed- and thank you for sharing... 🙂

I think this might be out of place amongst all the greenery, wildlife and blooming flowers, but this is February here:

Hi TwoWheeler,

We’re suckers for flowing, or frozen in the act of flowing, water so image #1 is our favourite. Very nice.

Image #2 is an intriguing minimalist composition which captures the viewer's attention and draws them in (though it's hard to put a finger on why).

Both images were well seen and caught and are perfectly presented - thank you for sharing... 🙂
